like anger raging
demolation
houses struck
people praying
on the move
there’s no delaying
no where to go
“where are we staying?”
i hate the news
crying constantly
cause of what they going thru
fire is ruthless
better get moving
we close our eyes
but this is what truth is
you can extinguish the fire
but dreams have been burned
walking thru rubble
that was once a home
and it could very well be us
maybe next we’ll take our turn
so i’ll start praying now
how we take care of this??
its more destruction
Katrina came thru years ago
and we still reconstructing
so from this
how do we rise??
people dont even know whats going on
no sympathy in their eyes
but it doesn’t come as a surprise
no one in this nation cares
we’re on the other side of the country
so i guess their issues remain over there
and i fear
cause when something hits our homes
we’ll expect others to care??
this is insane
an entire state
going up in flames
and theres nothing they can do
so they run
and the mayhem has only just begun
cause reality is
they’ll still be building houses back up
in years to come
